Basically, all products in China need to meet a certain qualification standard and be recognized by the country before they can be put on the market for sale, and household elevator products are also the same. In order to ensure the safety of users, China issued the "Specification for the Manufacturing and Installation of Household Elevators" in May 2018

1、 Definition of Home Elevators

A household elevator refers to an elevator installed in a private residence for the sole use of a single family, or it can be installed in buildings that are not used by a single family, such as townhouses and stacked villas, but its function is to only provide access and use for a single family. That is to say, household elevators are private products, just like refrigerators at home. Household elevators can be installed in commercial or residential housing, but can only be used by internal personnel of one's own family.

2、 Rated operating speed

According to national regulations, the operating speed of household elevators cannot exceed 0.4 meters per second. If it is a platform elevator or a household elevator without a car door, the operating speed cannot exceed 0.3 meters per second. So when recommended by villa elevator companies, there will be standards for operating speed.

3、 Lift car travel

The installation specifications for household elevators require that the car travel of a household elevator should not exceed 12 meters. It is the height from the lowest floor to the highest floor, so currently, when installing and designing household elevators, as long as it is a legitimate villa elevator company, the car travel will not exceed 12 meters.

4、 Rated load capacity

The rated load of a household elevator cannot exceed 400 kilograms. If you choose a household elevator product that can lift the load up, you need to pay attention to whether its specifications belong to household elevators. At present, the most common household elevator load designs on the market are 250 kilograms, 320 kilograms, and 400 kilograms.
